Rocío Bolaños is a versatile and dynamic clarinettist performing contemporary and classical music. She completed her Postgraduate studies at the RNCM with distinction followed by a Junior Fellowship and the prestigious International Artist Diploma, supported by Buffet Crampon. As a member of Distractfold Ensemble she has performed at Harvard University, Spectrum in New York, Experimental Sound Studio in Chicago, the 47th and 48th Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt, Kammer Klang concert series in London, University of Leeds Contemporary Music Festival, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, Ithaca College in New York, Rainy Days in Luxembourg, Klang Festival in Copenhagen and IGNM Garde du Nord in Basel among others. Rocío has worked with the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, Liverpool Philharmonic and Hallé Orchestra as a freelance. Rocío is highly in demand as a teacher. She teaches clarinet and saxophone at BYMT and privately in South East London. She was a member of Live Music Now and is highly experience in one-to-one as well as group tuitions.
